Hen Pose

Importance: This pose largely strengthens the hands as well as helps your body maintain proper balance and posture. It also strengthens the shoulders and gives flexibility to the body on the whole.
Heals: helps in reducing back pain as well as problems of the hip.
Sanskrit Name: kukudasana

Lotus Pose

Importance: This pose mainly relaxes your body and sets an apt environment for yogic meditation.
Heals: Relaxes the body and mind on the whole. Also strengthens and relaxes the back, mainly the spinal chord.
Sanskrit Name: Padmasana

Prasaridhapadothanasana

Importance: This pose makes the upper as well as the lower stomach along with the waist stronger.
Heals: Relief for Diabetic patients as well as increases the power of the penis for men.

Bow and Arrow


Importance: This pose makes the stomach, waist, hip, thighs and back energetic.
Heals: Reduces Arthritis in the joints of the lower body.

Wheel Pose


Importance: This pose makes you feel younger therefore adding the various signs of youth to your life.

Heals: Back Pain.

Butterfly pose


Importance: This pose makes the lungs stronger and also makes the spinal chord stronger.

Heals: Kidney, liver and pancrea ailments.

Fish Pose


Importance: This pose allows the easy flow of air to the lungs and purifies the blood. It also makes the neck strong. Helps easy digestion.

Heals: Asthma, Thyroid, Motion problems.

Shoulder Pose


Importance: This pose is good for the brain as it enhances the easy flow of blood to the brain.

Sanskrit Name: Sarvagaasana

Heals: Head-ache and ear-pain.

Inducted into the world of Yoga at a very young age of 8, I've been practicing Yoga every day of my life. Specialising in Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation), my yogic life revolves around varied yogic stance and postures. Meditation, Chantings and Pranayamas are just the tip of the ice burg.
